About Balagan Be Gone

An organized home should make it easier to live your life. Otherwise, what's the point?

I started Balagan Be Gone in Israel in 2013 as an in-person professional organizing business. Today, I work with people around the world through live online sessions, memberships, programs, books, and other practical resources.

BBG primarily serves Jewish families because Jewish homes and Jewish life come with their own routines, responsibilities, holidays, and very long lists of things to do. You don't have to be Jewish to work with me, though. If this approach works for you, you're welcome here.

This is the reviews site for Balagan Be Gone — a place to read and submit genuine customer reviews of BBG's organizing programs, services, and books.

Hi, I'm Rebekah

I'm Rebekah Saltzman, a professional organizer, author, and the founder of Balagan Be Gone.

My work isn't about rearranging your things and leaving you with a space that looks good until everyone comes home. I teach you how to declutter, manage your time, make decisions, and build systems that can change when your life does.

I provide the education, structure, accountability, and support. You do the work in your own home, which means you're also learning how to keep going without having to start over every time life gets busy.

Ways to work with BBG

Journey to Organization

Journey to Organization is for when you’re done reorganizing the same pile every few months and would actually like things to stay better. You get ongoing support, practical organizing help, accountability, and community so you can keep making progress instead of starting over every time life gets busy.

JTO may be for you if you can make progress but have trouble keeping it going, need accountability to follow through, or want ongoing help building systems for your home, schedule, paperwork, and family life.

Tidy Together

Tidy Together is a live online group organizing session where everyone shows up with their own project and gets to work together. You might be decluttering, sorting papers, tackling admin, organizing digitally, or finally dealing with the thing you’ve been avoiding. I guide the group with focused work time, check-ins, and accountability while everyone works on their own stuff.

Tidy Together may be for you if you have ADHD, have trouble getting started on your own, get distracted halfway through a task, or simply get more done when other people are working alongside you.

Painless Pesach

Painless Pesach helps you deal with the stuff before Pesach, instead of discovering in the middle of prep that apparently every object you’ve ever owned would like a vote. It’s a 36-day decluttering challenge with daily direction, accountability, and support so you can clear things out and get ahead of the holiday without turning the whole house upside down.

Painless Pesach may be for you if Pesach prep tends to sneak up on you, you have too much stuff to deal with before the holiday, or you want a clear plan, daily direction, and accountability so you’re not doing everything at the last minute.

10 Days of Teshuva

10 Days of Teshuva is a short, focused decluttering challenge for the ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Each day brings one clear, doable step so the work of the season — the letting go, the decisions, the making room — happens in your home too, not only in your head. A little each day, so you reach the holiday with a lighter home and a clearer mind.

10 Days of Teshuva may be for you if the Days of Awe tend to feel more like the Days of Overwhelm, if you want a small guided daily action to pair with your teshuva practice, or if you'd like to clear some of the physical clutter while you do the inner work.

Paper Purge

Paper Purge is for the papers you keep moving from one pile to another because apparently they’ve learned to reproduce. You get a clear process for sorting, making decisions, separating what needs action from what needs filing or shredding, and finally getting the piles moving instead of just finding them a new chair.

Paper Purge may be for you if paperwork makes you want to walk out of the room, you’re never sure what to keep, or you need structure and accountability to finally deal with the stacks.

Digital Declutter

Digital clutter is sneaky because nobody trips over it on the way to the kitchen. Digital Declutter helps you deal with inboxes, downloads, files, photos, and documents so you can actually find what you need instead of carrying all that invisible clutter around with you.

Digital Declutter may be for you if your inbox is out of control, you can’t find files when you need them, or your digital systems create more stress than they solve.

Organized Jewish Life

Jewish life comes with a lot of recurring stuff: Shabbat, chagim, meals, guests, school, family logistics, and all the things you swear you’ll remember next time. Organized Jewish Life helps you build systems around the parts of Jewish home and family life that happen again and again so everything isn’t living in your head.

Organized Jewish Life may be especially useful if you’re newly married, building a Jewish home for the first time, newly observant, converting or recently joined the Jewish community, returning to Jewish practice, or just tired of managing Jewish life by emergency.

Shabbat & Holiday Planner

The Shabbat & Holiday Planner is for anyone who would like Friday afternoon and the day before a chag to feel a little less like an emergency. It helps you keep meals, shopping, prep, hosting, tasks, and the things you need to remember in one place so you can reuse what worked instead of reinventing everything every week.

It may be for you if Shabbat or holiday prep regularly turns into a last-minute scramble, you’re newly managing a Jewish household, or you just want a repeatable system for getting ready.

Jewish Perpetual Calendar

A reusable Jewish calendar designed to help you keep important dates, birthdays, anniversaries, yahrzeits, and Jewish-life planning in one organized place, with practical organization tips and reflection prompts along the way.

You want one place to keep the dates and details your family returns to year after year.

Password Keeper

A simple place to keep your passwords organized and easy to find, so important login information isn't scattered across notes, scraps of paper, and wherever-you-put-it-last-time.

You're tired of searching for passwords or getting locked out because you can't remember where you saved them.

Women Who Lit the Way

Stories, reflections, and coloring pages inspired by Jewish women who brought light during dark times, created as a meaningful way to reflect, learn, and connect during Chanukah.

You want Chanukah reading and reflection that goes beyond the usual holiday activities and gives you something meaningful to think about and discuss.
